In my experience of working with mid to large sized organisations, I’ve observed that they don’t fail because they lack strategy or a plan. They fail because leaders are stretched too thin to execute it.

I’ve worked in executive and operational roles long enough to see the same pattern play out time and again – change gets treated like a project, a one off event and/or with traditional frameworks that are no longer fit for purpose in today’s context. As a result leadership teams get overwhelmed, and transformation efforts spiral.

The missing piece? Leadership capacity.

Change is no longer a project. It’s how business gets done.

From challenges to solutions

I’ve seen first-hand how traditional approaches to change fall short.

Early in my career, I worked on large-scale transformations and noticed a recurring problem: organisations treated change like a one-off event.

Leaders were overwhelmed, teams were out of sync, and the solutions rarely stuck. The result? Lots of activity, very little actual change.

It wasn’t helpful. It wasn’t productive. And it definitely wasn’t sustainable.

By focusing on building what I call “organisational change muscle,” I developed a holistic, people-first approach that’s behaviour-focused and system-wide, integrating change into daily business.

That shift turned change from a process to be managed into a leadership opportunity - one built on creating alignment, strengthening collaboration, and driving real behaviour change.
